The Great Wall of China

Have you ever heard that the Great Wall of China is the only man-made structure that you can see from the moon with a naked eye? That is just a myth that was written in a book but has been turned into a believable fact in our world today. The truth is that the only way that the great wall of china can be seen outside of our atmosphere is from the moon with a very high contrasted camera, or from earths orbit.

The Great Wall of China started being constructed in 770-476 B.c. because during this time their emperor, Qin Shi Huang, has taken control of 7 different nations and was worried he would get attacked by barbarians. He had slaves, prisoners ,and soldiers working on this 4160 mile long wall. During these wars and battles between china and other barbaric nations the wall has crumbled and eroded over many years. The Government of China has gotten people to start reconstruction on the wall. They started approximately 35 years ago and is still fixing it today.
